Trama:
E’ il 1962 e a Baltimora c’è aria di grandi cambiamenti. Edna (John Travolta) è una donna di 135 kg, strabordante tanto di stazza quanto di personalità, stiratrice e lavandaia è sposata con lo stralunato Wilbur (Christopher Walken). La perfida Velma Von Tussle(Michelle Pfeiffer) tenta di portarle via il marito, mentre le rispettive figlie Tracy e Amber si sfidano in un programma televisivo, il mitico Corny Collin’s Show facendosi notare il più possibile... Ma chi si aggiudicherà il titolo di reginetta tra la scatenatissima over size Tracy e la biondissima e cattivissima Amber Von Tussle?
