Marion Cotillard nel cast di Batman 3, The Dark Knight Rises

Posted on July 1, 2020

After Anne Hathaway, another actress is about to join the cast of The Dark Knight Rises. Marion Cotillard, 35, could star in the third installment of the Batman saga signed by Christopher Nolan. Le Figaro reports it. An engagement, that of the French star, arrived by surprise: there was not his name, in fact, among the many rumored for the expected sequel on the most famous bat of the cinema.

The news, if true, would make sense of the crumbs of information (always unofficial) on the plot, which would see Bruce Wayne grappling with Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman (role played by Anne Hathaway) and with the children of Ra’s al Ghul and Carmine Falcone ( characters present in the first chapter of the saga): Talia al Ghul (Marion Cotillard) and Alberto Falcone, who seems to have the face of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but also in this case they are unconfirmed rumors. For the moment the only sure thing is that the start of filming is now near and that the arrival date in the theaters of the new Batman by Christopher Nolan is scheduled for 20 July 2012.

Born into a family of artists, from a mother theater actress and father director, Marion Cotillard began her career in the nineties. He hit the big screen with the appearance in Gérard Pirès’ film Taxxi, in a role he also played in two of the following sequels.
Appearing in numerous French films, Marion Cotillard has also obtained several roles in American films working with directors such as Tim Burton (Big Fish) and Ridley Scott (A very good year). In 2005 she won the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s A Long Sunday of Passions.

The actress won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2008 and makes her the second French …

Fast & Furious 5 opens the American box office

Posted on July 1, 2020

Fast & Furious 5 directed by director Justin Lin and starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, according to first estimates, would have raised $83.6 million in just 3 days. Beaten Lost World: Jurassic Park, stopped in 1997 at 73 million dollars. But we are also talking about the best debut of the year, destroyed Rio, at 39.2 million, and the best debut ever in April.

One wonders what thresholds the film will reach in the USA and the world (in just over a week it’s already at 165 million!) as the estate will probably be considerably better than that of the fourth chapter as it has a Cinemascore A (even A+ in the very young). The American film summer is off to a great start: we’re talking about 200 and 500 million dollars respectively.

Plot: Since former policeman Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) broke out the latter’s brother, Dominic “Dom” Toretto (Vin Diesel), the three have been forced to escape in order to evade the authorities. Now, hidden in a corner of Rio de Janeiro, they must complete one last job to get their freedom back. They put together a team of high-speed professionals. The unlikely allies know this is their last chance to face the ruthless businessman who wants them dead. But he’s not the only one on their trail. Tough federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) never misses his target. When he’s tasked to track down Dom and Brian, he and his team go in to capture them. But as his men make their way into Brazil, Hobbs realizes he can’t tell the good guys from the bad guys. Now, he has to trust his instincts to catch his prey… before someone else does.…

Dr. House says good-bye, Hugh Laurie’s tired of his part

Posted on July 1, 2020

Despite a successful career between television and film, the first role that actually allowed the British actor Hugh Laurie to make himself known to the public was that of Dr. Gregory House, in the Fox TV series “Dr. House – Medical Division”.

Good news and bad news. The first is that “Dr. House” was renewed for the eighth edition of the much-loved series, the negotiation was not easy and was achieved after the reduction of production costs, about 20 percent. Each episode of “Dr. House”, in fact, will now cost approximately 5 million dollars. In addition to Laurie, in the eighth edition we will find all the veterans of the TV series: from Olivia Wilde to Robert Sean Leonard, from Omar Epps to Lisa Edelstei.

The bad news is that the eighth may be the last. Hugh Laurie, who has long been into the blues, announces to Radio Times: “The show is over”. According to the rumors, the reason is to be found in the costs, starting from the actor’s cachet: about 280 thousand dollars per episode.

The news was already in the air and now the confirmation comes from the person concerned who in a recent interview said: Next season is my last one, contractually speaking: right now, the end of the eighth season also seems the end of the show.

Among the reasons for Laurie’s probable goodbye is his commitment to the blues (he just released his first album, Let Them Talk), but also his distance from his wife and three children, who live in England.…

Orlando Bloom will resume his role as Legolas for The Hobbit

Posted on July 1, 2020

Director Peter Jackson confirmed Friday that Orlando Bloom will join the cast of JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit, according to TheWrap.com.

Orlando Bloom is the last cast member of The Lord of the Rings to join The Hobbit. While Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Elrond (Hugo Weaving) and Gollum (Andy Serkis) appear in Tolkien’s JRR Romance, Jackson has apparently made room for Legolas, Galadriel (Cate Blanchett), old Bilbo (Ian Holm) and Frodo (Elijah Wood).

A small leap for the synopsis of the novel. The two-part (3D) film is scheduled for December 2012 and December 2013.

Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas, Jackson said in an ad on his Facebook page. I am thrilled to announce that we will be together to revisit Middle Earth with him once again. I’m excited to work with Orlando Bloom again. The funny thing is, I look older and he doesn’t! I guess that’s what makes him such a wonderful elf.

The 3D project started shooting in March after months of fighting, delays, financial problems and health issues for Jackson. The project is set to cost $500 million.

The film was shot at Wellington’s Stone Street Studios and the site of the imaginary Hobbiton near the town of Matamata North Island, New Zealand.…
